About Kathleen

IMG_0100

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my website.

I live in Pittsfield, MA (The Berkshires of Western Massachusetts), where I teach yoga and mindfulness online and in person. I’ve written and edited for Yoga International, Accessible Yoga Voices, Om Yoga & Lifestyle, and YogaCityNYC. At YogaCity, I developed the Reflections of Master Teachers (a bi-weekly interview series with NYC’s leading teachers).

My poetry has appeared in many journals, including Five Points, Gargoyle, and The Satirist, and I’ve been nominated for the Pushcart Prize twice. My  chapbook of poems, Fairview Road, was published in 2015.  And, in our great year of 2020, I was published in two anthologies: Embodied Resilience Through Yoga and What They Bring: The Poetry of Migration and Immigration.

Curious about my teaching style? Read testimonials about my private and group classes.

Here’s my cat, Ophelia, who teaches me yoga every day. And here also is Elizabeth Lesser’s pretty and profound book, Cassandra Speaks. It woke me up, turned me inside out, and got me musing about new ways to self-actualize on and off the mat…

  1. Wow, Kathleen. I loved this. I remember experiencing yoga with you, ahem, 30 years ago. Yes, 30 years ago in NY. It is beautiful to see how you have returned to it and your writing inspires me to do more. Looking forward to more posts!

  2. Kathleen, such an inspiration. Teaching is a gift for both the teacher and the student, and you’ve so lovingly reminded us…thank you.
